more rules!

Post  Admin on Thu Oct 16, 2008 6:23 pm

This is the Small Traders section where everyone can trade off items! But for a more reliable and secure trade, we highly recommend the exclusive Big Traders section! Here's how you can avail of the exclusive membership! (link is in the works)

Rules and Guidelines for Small Traders:

To make sure everything goes well for you Small Traders, just follow these very simple rules:

1. Do not PM members randomly. This is why we made this special section-so you can show your My Stuff to the public for trade. We will temporarily suspend your account if you do not abide by this rule.

2. Follow this format when creating a trade thread:

Your BABV Username: MamaBear10

Preferred Den - Location: Teddy Terrace, UK - Neighborhood

Preferred Time: Daily, 1:30pm Central

Items I offer (These are items from my inventory that I want to trade):
From Pawlette Coufur: Clown Costume
From Bear Stuff: none
From Bear Boutique: Pink Cheerleading outfit
PSI: Newspaper, Large Tiara
Other special items: 2008 glasses

3. You can offer a maximum of 5 different items per thread and this will last for 3 days ONLY.

4. Only 1 thread/member is allowed. Duplicates will be deleted and the member will be given a warning. 2 warnings of the same offense will result in indefinite suspension of your account.

5. When members reply to your trade post, make sure to reply back to every posts by either accepting or rejecting their offer. For rejected offers, please specify reason. For accepted offers, make sure to set the date, time and place. You have to show up on your scheduled time. If we hear complaints about absences, we will make appropriate sanctions.

6. Members should make a valid trade by BearXchanging an equal item.

These are the ideal trades:
Bear Boutique item = Bear Boutique item
PSI = PSI
Pawlette Coufur item = Pawlette Coufur item
Bear Stuff = Bear Stuff
Bear Stuff = Pawlette Coufur item
special items = special items

Invalid trade offers will be deleted by the officers.

7. Make sure to make all trade transactions public. DO NOT PM the trader or the players who replied to your trade post. Your account here will be banned for doing that!

8. Let us all know that your trade with every member has taken place. Reply to your thread by posting every successful trade. Failure to do so will result in warning and deletion of your thread.

9. Your trade thread will last for 3 days only. We will lock the thread after 3 days and move it to the Archives.

10. You will only be able make a new trade thread once your old thread has been moved to the Archives.

11. If you encounter any problems with other players brought about by this trade section, let an officer know right away!

12. The officers reserve the right to delete/modify and or close your BearXchange thread based on our Rules and Guidelines.

Step One: Capture your image using the PrtSc (Print Screen) button
When you've found an image you want to save or share with us, all you have to do press the Print Screen button (or Fn + Prt Sc on some laptops and computers)

And voila, you've now successfully copied the image

Step Two: Open MS Paint (Start Button ----> Programs ----> Accessories ----> MS Paint)

Step Three: Paste the Screenshot, you have 3 options

a. Press the CTRL + V button

b. Go to Edit, the click Paste

c. Right Click, wait for the Properties Bar to Pop out and click Paste

If you've followed the this instruction so far, you'll wind up with an image that looks like this..

Not so nice right?
So... what we're going to do is crop the image and this is how you do it

Step Four: On the left side of MS Paint there will be a toolbox available for you, click on the SELECT icon,
represented by a rectangle with broken lines It will look like this..

Step Five: Now once you've clicked that, simply select the area you want to feature in your image and then right click and press Copy ( or use your keyboard, press CTRL + C ) ( or go to Edit, then press Copy)

Step Six: Then, go to File and Press NEW, (or just press CTRL + N )

Step Seven: Now, press CTRL+ V to PASTE your selected image (or right click paste) (or Edit, then click Paste) and voila! Your image is there and will look like this!

Step 8: Saving When you're done, you can either choose to save your image in a .GIF , .PNG , .IMG , .JPEG or .BMP format. (Personally, we prefer .GIF or .JPEG) Simply go to File then press Save (or just press CTRL + S)

You are now ready to post the photo!

One of the coolest things about our forums is that we've tried to make it as easy to use by everyone as possible! You do not need to host your photo somewhere else! You can actually do it here in Bearville Guide Forums!

Make use of the CODE BUTTONS or the Button Bar that you see every time you make a post, reply to a topic at hand. There are multiple buttons there that we can use to make our posts as pawsome as possible!

Step Nine: Find the "host an image button" and click on it

Once you do, a small pop will appear asking to put in the URL for your photo.

Step Ten: Click on the BROWSE button and from them, find the image you're planning to upload. Click on the image and approve it

From here, you'll be directed to an area where you are given 3 hyperlinks.

Step Eleven: Click on the third and press the copy button (In some case you still have to press CTRL + C to make it work)

Now you're ready to show off your images to the board!

Step Twelve: The last thing you'll do is simply use the Image Button in your toolbar Paste your image code into it and press OK and your image will be in your New Topic or reply then press SEND

Isn't it easy?

Just remembear Bear Pals! Keep your images safe and clean and applicable to all the members of Bearville Guide Forums!

The idea is to make our site fun and more interactive. Here are the rules:

- Contests will either be in Buildabearville or a board event. A board event is a contest or a game held here in the forums mostly by posting.

I. For Buildabearville contests, a registration will be held by posting here in the board. There are no registration fees.
A meeting place and time will be announced. The player must come atleast 10 minutes before the scheduled time for final briefing. A contest will always start on time. We will not wait for a player before we start. Latecomers will automatically be eliminated.

II. For board events, each contest will run from 2-3 days, maximum of 5 days. Multi-entry is not allowed.

- Prizes will be announced before the contest starts.
- The winner will be announced in the thread. The winner will receive a PM from the admins as to when and where the prize will be handed over.
- The prize must be claimed within 24 hours or it will be forfeited and will be carried over in the next game. In the event that the admin fails to award the prize within 24 hours, the prize will be doubled.
- Real cash or money will NEVER be a prize.
- ONLY the admins of this site will start the contests. The moderators and the officers will make sure everything is in order.
- A board official (Admin, Mod and Officers) CANNOT join the contests.
- ONLY the admins will contact you about these contests.

We listened to your demands! Now here's a new section specially created for newbies who can't purchase the actual bears as of yet, BUT want to experience Buildabearville in a whole new level!

NOTE:
Welcome Pass webcodes will give you 5 furry friends BUT will not give you virtual freebies or PSI's. It is still A LOT BETTER to purchase an animal at any BABW store and get an animal ID and keycode to enjoy the many benefits.

Before posting, read these rules and guidelines:

For the hopefuls:
1. Do not PM a member, officer and administrator asking for codes. That is against the rules! If you PM any of us and we see you in this section, we will delete your request.
2. To qualify, you need to make a minimum of 25 helpful, informative or meaningful posts. Spam posts like LOL, IDK, COOL, etc will not count. The officers will verify and confirm your progress.
3. Only one topic is enough for each member. More than one post will revoke your request.
4. Requests from disqualified members (those who did not reach the post requirement) will be deleted.
5. We will not honor a request that was posted under another request. If you are a qualified hopeful, make your own topic.
5. If you posted a request here, DO NOT EXPECT to get a welcome pass webcode right away.
6. Once we receive the Welcome Passes via PM's from our generous members, an officer will collect it and distribute it to the qualified hopefuls. Only one Welcome Pass is given to one qualified hopeful on a first come-first served basis.

For the generous members:
I have fixed it and have granted your request to give the welcome pass to only those who deserve it.

1. For the members who have spare Welcome Pass webcodes, PM the admins or the moderators. We will gather the codes then distribute them to each qualified hopeful.
5. Once the code is given out, we will lock the thread.

Animal ID's and keycodes, SFS codes and Receipt codes are not be given in this site.

MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
